Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of Flydubai said:
"A strong GCC network is at the heart of Flydubai's strategy and as an old friend Kuwait was a natural choice as our next destination. We are making a strong commitment to serving and expanding this route by providing an alternate air travel option and we thank the authorities in Kuwait for their help and support to make this announcement possible. Flydubai looks forward to a long and successful relationship with Kuwait and to doing our part to strengthening the relationship between Kuwait and the UAE."
"For Kuwait residents, Dubai is already a frequently visited cosmopolitan centre for business and leisure. Its many cultural festivities, international and regional events and exhibitions also attract a growing number of Kuwaiti residents throughout the year," he said.
"Kuwait is also growing in strength - its businesses are thriving and economy expanding. Infrastructure developments, urbanisation and a new port at Bubiyan Island are all signs of this. While trading and commerce have always been a major link between both countries, tourism to the oil rich state is also growing because of its strong Islamic traditions - this new service will definitely help support Kuwait's budding tourism sector," Ghaith continued.
The twice daily flights to Dubai will cost from just KWD 13 one-way, which includes all taxes and one piece of hand baggage weighing up to 10kg. Flights are available for purchase from the website (Flydubai.com), call centre (+965 22414400) and travel agents from today.
