The seminar was presented by Nidal Tebawi, Deloitte Technology Services Director in Kuwait, who explored the challenges faced by organizations seeking to mature their IT practices and align those practices against best of breed IT frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 20000, ITIL and CobiT. Tebawi commented: "IT Governance is a critical component of the organization's governance posture and consists of the leadership, organizational structures, and processes that help ensure that the IT function sustains and extends the organization's strategies and objectives". Tebawi also shared with the audience a case study that explored the approach deployed toward the integration of these frameworks with a goal of an IT governance framework that is relevant, practical, and sustainable.
