  • PRESS RELEASE

Naresh B Jagtiani, has been appointed as Regional Manager - Foodservice at Coffee Planet LLC, one of the largest distributors of coffee and coffee equipment in the region. Naresh has a natural flair for languages and a strong understanding of the Middle East.

"I am so happy to have joined such an innovative and expanding company like Coffee Planet. The pace and flexibility in the way they work really appeals to me and the fact that they roast their own coffee here as well as having exclusive distribution agreements on some of the world's best coffee equipment makes my job a lot more satisfying and hitting my targets a lot easier,"

commented Naresh.

Naresh began his career in Kuwait at Zana Trading and during his 12 year tenure as sales and marketing director, Naresh spearheaded the sales and marketing division whist ensuring the continued growth of the company.

In August of 2006, Naresh joined the M.H Alshaya Company, one of the leading retailers in fashion, health and beauty and food and beverage in the Middle East. as Business Alliance Manager for Starbucks.

Recently, Naresh has been appointed as the Regional Manager - Foodservice in charge of developing further the corporate and hospitality businesses at Coffee Planet, which is a UAE based company established over five years ago. Naresh joins Coffee Planet after 3 years at Starbucks and hopes to replicate the success he had at his previous company, "What Coffee Planet has achieved in the last 5 years is immense. They have found a way to build a successful business in a very competitive market. They are the complete coffee solutions provider in this region."

He believes that while many companies talk a good game about their after sales service, few are delivering it, "I like the fact that Coffee Planet has an over-riding commitment to quality and has a very strong reputation for its service and maintenance ethos, which is so often lacking in a lot of companies. We have an entire engineering and service department maintaining over 300 machines across the UAE, so I am very confident that we will expand our customer base and presence within the Middle East."

Despite some of the economic gloom, business has been brisk since joining Coffee Planet and Naresh believes that opportunities in the hotel, office and foodservice sector remain positive for nimble and effective companies like Coffee Planet.
