Mr. Khalid Al Jowder, secretary general of DQG, affirmed that this partnership falls within the efforts of the two parties to provide support for the sustainable development plan for public transport in the UAE, especially with regard to the achievement of the policy of quality, excellence, safety and alleviating the congestion at peak times.
Al Jowder said, "Sharjah Transport will be provided with consultancy and information needed to strengthen its position as an organization concerned with the implementation of quality and safety standards in the public transport, and thereby strengthen the position of Sharjah, as a city offers advanced and integrated transport solutions."
For his part, Mr. Mahmoud Al Hosani, Sharjah Transport spokesman, said:
"Sharjah Transport provides an efficient and affordable transport system in order to make public transport the first choice in Sharjah. Moreover, grants all passengers a safe travel experience characterized with discipline of trips and reasonable cost."
Al Hosani declared that this partnership will provide quality and safety management in Sharjah Transport with the necessary tools to continue dealing with quality initiatives within the framework of organizational excellence. He said, "We believe that achieving the highest standards of safety and quality is the most important way to success. Accordingly, we look forward to the implementation of joint projects with DQG as we hope to provide comfort and safety for passengers and travelers."
The signing ceremony was attended by a number of senior officials from the two parties.
