IHE and Putzmeister Concrete Pumps conducts international training programme in Oman

The training programme was exclusively conducted by two German training specialists, Mr. Rolf Hanel and Mr. Kurt Assmann, that came to the Sultanate from the Putzmeister Training Academy based in Germany. Around sixty pump operators, technicians, and plant engineers representing 25 companies across Oman attended the training session.

Putzmeister Concrete Pumps are the world's famous manufacturers of concrete pumps. In 2008 IHE was appointed as Putzmeister distributors in Oman. Since then the two companies have joined forces to conduct regular training courses for pump operators, technicians and plant engineers.

The most import aspect of the training was to ensure the safe usage of the pumps to ensure the safety of the operators. This is achieved, by an Ergonic System which is a microprocessor supported control system for controlling and regulating concrete pumps and placing booms. The EBC (Ergonic Boom Control) controls and regulates concrete placing booms. EBC also enables a higher concrete placement performance that reinforces safety on the construction site and makes it easier to control the boom. In operation, it provides the pump operators with reliable security when working on the job.

Readymix companies and contractors are pleased with this initiative from IHE and Putzmeister and have requested for periodical training to update the competency levels of their operators and technical staff to provide a trouble free, safe concrete flow from their Putzmeister Pumps to their customers and final projects.
