- PRESS RELEASE
Caramel Restaurant & Lounge, operated by The Light Group-Dubai, officially opened its doors on March 7th 2010, in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Level 2, Building 3, ushering in the next generation of hospitality in the city.
For its first overseas venture, The Light Group has chosen to build on the success of its popular ultra-lounge, Caramel Bar & Lounge at Bellagio, in the heart of Dubai's major financial district, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). The neighborhood, which is growing increasingly known for its world-class standards of innovation, dynamism and design, serves as the ideal launching pad for this long-awaited expansion. The Light Group's most brilliant minds in both Las Vegas and Dubai have come together to bring a new and elevated style of hospitality and exceptional service with its focus on VIP services, glamorous décor, and contemporary cuisine.
"A city of quality like Dubai deserves the sort of hospitality our venues are known for in the US. We are a progressive group and always deliver something new for our guests. Caramel takes the best of what we have achieved so far in Las Vegas translating it into our DIFC venue. We are confident that Caramel is offering something extraordinary and that it will be a huge success," said Andrew Sasson, Founder of The Light Group.
Caramel Bar & Lounge at Bellagio is a well-established celebrity haunt, which is widely recognized for both its exclusivity and its delicate balance of energy and intimacy. The Dubai version will provide the same sophistication while elevating its already impressive design and décor to match its sleek new surroundings.
The Dubai venue is spread over 10,000 square foot seating 233 guests with terrace, complete with private cabanas, and offers an intimate and all inclusive space lending itself to an atmosphere that is suited for a business lunch, intimate dinner or as a late night hot spot. Designed to offer distinct areas, the low-lit interior is decorated with warm amber lighting, dark woods and plush seating for up to 95 diners. The outside space boasts nine secluded cabanas, which can dovetail with adjoining cabanas to seat larger groups, part of a terrace which seats up to an additional 138 guests. To make the most of the good weather the open-air dining offers guests views of the Dubai skyline, and thanks to the opening glass walls guests never feel separate from the inside restaurant, lounge and entertainment.
Executive Chef, Brian Massie, has designed the Caramel menu to include the signature dishes from its Vegas sibling, which are a high-end take on classic American dishes, including house favorites; Lobster & Grilled Mango Tacos, Ponzu Yellow Fin Tuna, Signature Chicken Lollipops, Petit Kobe Sliders and Mac & Cheese Sticks with truffle.
"Our local management and kitchen teams consist of some of our most talented people who have been wowing the crowds in the US and are now ready to do the same in Dubai," added Andy Masi, CEO of The Light Group.
Caramel Restaurant & Lounge is open seven days a week from 11am to 2am and serving lunch, dinner and drinks with resident DJs providing an eclectic mix of music until 2am Saturday, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
