Emirates flies medical delegation to Hyderabad on fact-finding trip

Reaffirming its commitment to forging links between Dubai and India, Emirates flew out a delegation of high-level medical officials to Hyderabad on 6th January 2002 for a fact-finding mission of medical facilities available to UAE residents.

The delegation was invited to Hyderabad by the Hon. Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh state, to inspect the medical facilities available within the region.

Accompanying the delegation were Ghaith Al Ghaith, Emirates' Commercial Operations Director, Dr Alasdair Beatton, Emirates' Head of Medical Services, other Emirates management and members of the media.

Mr Ghaith said: "We are very pleased to host the delegation to Hyderabad which we see as reaffirming our commitment to facilitate the development of business and services between Dubai and Andhra Pradesh.

"I would like to thank the honourable Chief Minister, Mr Chandrababu Naidu, for his kind invitation to the medical delegation who I am confident will find excellent medical facilities within Andhra Pradesh state."

The delegation, accompanied by Emirates management and members of the media, includes Dr Ahmad Al Hashemi, Dr Abdul Ghaffar Mohd Abdul Ghafoor and Dr Kholood Al Suweidi of the UAE Ministry of Health - Dubai; Dr Ali Shakar, Dr Asghar Baig Mirza and Mohammed Al

Belooshi of Rashid Hospital; Dr Mazin Abu Shabaan of Dubai Hospital; Dr Abdul Rahim Mostafawi of Al Wasl Hospital; and Dr T.P. Ray of The Welcare Hospital.

"The State of Andhra Pradesh is very pleased to welcome the visit of the medical delegation from Dubai," said Mr Naidu. "This visit signifies the beginning of a relationship between the two countries.

"Our commitment in upgrading the medical infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh has resulted in world-class facilities being available to all our citizens. Now we are indeed happy that our friends from Dubai too will benefit from these excellent facilities."
