Masterpak incorporates sustainable practices

Masterpak is further integrating environmentally-friendly practices in its daily operations, planning and decision-making processes. Masterpak is a plastic PE film manufacturer in Zouk Mosbeh, Lebanon. In addition to complying with all applicable Lebanese environmental laws and regulations, the film manufacturer is further implementing resource saving practices.

Masterpak recycles 100% of its PE waste and re-uses it to reduce virgin raw material consumption, energy usage and water pollution. The plant and administration adopt energy saving modes ranging from simple initiatives, such as turning off power-consuming appliances in non-occupied offices, saving office paper, sending regularly paper and plastic caps for recycling and water heating from solar energy, as well as other practices.

At Masterpak, production processes are energy-efficient and machines are continuously maintained. The team is constantly working on minimizing the environmental impact of the company's operations, from using battery-operated forklifts and benefiting from daylight in the plant to minimizing plastic waste creation, while continuously pursuing opportunities to recycle and re-use waste materials.

Furthermore, the plant engages employees to reduce environmental impact. It encourages and awards its employees to develop innovative ideas for substantial energy saving solutions.
