Commenting on the institutional integrity this new technology upholds, Ms. Matilda Jabbour, AUD's Acting Registrar, stresses:
"By using Amricon's RFID Smart Technology, we ensure that our students' certificates, and their pertaining encoded data, are more protected and secure, given the fraudulent practices available in the market today. No longer are the traditional security features; i.e. signatures, holograms and bar codes, enough to protect those valuable certificates. As one of the leading adopters of new technology, we believe that Amricon's Smart Document Attestation Solution provides the ideal solution in line with the requirements of the MOHESR."
This new Smart RFID solution is beneficial to both, the university and its students. The 'Smart certificates' issued to the students include all the certificate information encoded and stored onto an RFID label attached to the certificate. This information can then be read and instantly verified and attested by the representatives and inspectors at MOHESR.
Moosa Eisa Al Amri, Chairman at Amricon, which owns the patent rights to the SMART Document Attestation worldwide, states:
"Our technology has been implemented in various fields and we have been working very closely with MOHESR to implement it in the education sector to protect the interests not only of the students but also of the university, as well as the Ministry. It makes the certificate tamper-proof."
On the indispensability of Amricon's SMART Technology to universities and organizations, Mr. Mahmoud Al Ashi, Business Development Manager at Amricon, states:
"This state-of the-art technology helps companies and academic institutions prevent fraud and reduce forgery to further promote integrity, within the corporate and academic sectors, as it allows document protection using the RFID label to store critical authentication information of sensitive documents in a highly secure and user- friendly manner."
The RFID label is placed on the university certificates at the time of their issue to students. The information stored in the label can be read by the MOHESR Attestation Department, helping them to confidently verify the university certificate using the Smart Document reader without the need for further communication with the University. More certificates are attested in less time using this technology, with data captured directly from the certificate into the MOHESR systems without manual input.
