Fifth edition of Offshore Arabia 2010 'Change and Challenges' starts tomorrow

The Technical Committee concluded its review and put the final touches on the general program and record of the Conference, which is a quantum leap in terms of speakers, experts and specialists.

The Offshore Arabia Conference and Exhibition,2010 to be held from 29 to 31 March at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center (Sheikh Maktoum Hall and Sheikh Rashid Hall) under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and the slogan of the Conference in its fifth session a "global partnership for energy and the environment - change and challenges," and surpass all past events with the support and participation of the Organization of producing and exporting countries of OPEC and oil companies and oil tankers in the Region States and the Organization of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization and the United Nations Environment Program and the United Nations University for Water, Environment and Health organizations at regional and global institutions.

The conference will discuss during the 3 days the most important issues of oil, energy, environment and sustainable development, the most important hubs of global energy scenario (supply and demand) and energy security from the perspective of regional and international supplies and climate change, energy, environment, transport and marine pollution, renewable energies and energy saving, diversification and maintenance.

Khamis Juma Buamim Chairman of the Conference said: "Offshore Arabia 2010 Conference and Exhibition is different in its fifth session from earlier sessions we have worked to induct the best ideas and practices for energy, the environment and our depth in terms of content and output, we knew that the correlation between energy and the environment are the secrets of sustainable development and the secured future for all mankind. On this basis we develop the themes to encourage future work for the development and strengthening of resources and the security of energy supplies and response and control and protection of the marine environment, whether from oil or chemicals or other harmful substances. There is a huge collection of papers that shed light on the change and challenges in terms of oil, gas, energy and the environment".

And for the first time, new equipments and state of the art technologies in marine and environment pollution as well as equipments for sea cleaning and sustainable energies will be showcased. On the other hand, the exhibition space has increased in size by 20% compared to last year"
