The announcement, made during US Robotics 'Achievements Night', recognized the achievements made by the company's regional channel partners who received awards by US Robotics EMEA director, John Rea.
' I am really delighted to see that, within this short time, we have been able to achieve such an outstanding performance,' said Rea. 'Apart from delivering world-class Internet solutions throughout the region, we have been working very hard with our distributors and resellers to provide them with the support needed to deliver top customer solutions and take a leading position.' More than 20 channel partners were awarded gold and travel vouchers and received US Robotics achievement certificates.
'Although the EMEA region enjoyed 140 percent through the fourth quarter of 2001, we still managed to top this figure by 20 percent,' said Yusuf Syed, US Robotics Regional sales manager for the Middle East. 'Congratulations to APTEC who won, the 'Best Middle East Distributor for year 2001' award and well done to all our channel partners who really have put a great effort in making this year a success.'
APTEC's General manager Bahaa Saleh commented: 'The US Robotics brand is by itself leading the Internet access revolution and is proving to be the number one brand in our markets. We thank US Robotics for the award and look forward to greater success in the coming years.'
Along with the Annual award, APTEC received an additional marketing incentive reward for Q1-2002 from US Robotics. Sales team members from AlFaisaliah, Aptec Gulf, Peripherals Gulf and Tech Data along with key resellers from the Middle East Region all received gold bars and Air travel voucher awards for their achievements during the same period.
'It has been a great year for our business and our results demonstrate the viability of our solutions and our strategic partnerships with the channel,' ended Syed.
