- PRESS RELEASE
Second Cup, the specialist coffee house with branches across the Middle East, has expanded into Abu Dhabi. For the first time, a young UAE national has been chosen to sub-franchise one of the Canadian-born, premium coffee outlets in the region.
Al Marzouqi, who graduated from the Higher Colleges of Technology with a degree in construction engineering, has since been working as a divisional manager in a leading oil and gas construction company. He also holds an MBA from Abu Dhabi University.
"Second Cup has successfully established a strong following among coffee lovers across Dubai," said BinHendi at the signing ceremony. Its move into Abu Dhabi has shown how Second Cup's formula is now in great demand across the whole UAE.
"Our decision to award the franchise for our first store in Abu Dhabi to Mr. Al Marzouqi shows our confidence that the UAE has a growing wealth of young entrepreneurial talent which will succeed when given the opportunity. Second Cup is a youthful brand that appeals to a discerning clientele, and for this and many more reasons, Mr. Al Marzouqi will be the ideal steward for this new store," he said.
Following the signing ceremony, the new sub-franchisee thanked BinHendi for the opportunity. "For me, operating a respected brand like Second Cup presents a fantastic opportunity, and I thank BinHendi Enterprises for its confidence in me," Al Marzouqi said. "Interested in hospitality business and Second Cup is my first hospitality business and looking forward to expand more with Bin Hendi enterprises' support and cooperation. Now I have the chance to bring the ultimate coffee experience to my home city, Abu Dhabi."
Offering customers some of the world's finest coffees, the Abu Dhabi store will become Second Cup's forty-seventh franchise across the Middle East, and fourteenth in the UAE. Throughout the region Second Cup offers best-in-class products and attractive surroundings to caffeine connoisseurs.
The new store has opened on Al Najda street in Abu Dhabi.
