- PRESS RELEASE
Students interested in pursuing a career in the region's burgeoning aviation industry are welcome to join the Career Day hosted and organized by the Al Mureijib High School for Girls in Al Ain, to talk to experts from the leading flight training school Horizon International Flight Academy to find out more about the aviation industry.
"Horizon encourages more females to embark on a career in aviation. In 2007 Horizon enrolled their first Emirati female student into the pilot training course and today we have ten female students studying to become pilots at Horizon each pursuing a long term career in the burgeoning aviation sector," explained the Academy's General Manager, Mohammed Humaidan Al Zaabi.
Horizon is the only Academy in the region to offer the Higher Diploma in Aviation Business Administration which is open to all who have ambitions to pursue an aviation career. This course is ideal for pilots who hold a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) as it supports their flying credentials with professional qualifications, and is especially valuable to those ladies who later want to move from flying to management," Al Zaabi explained.
Other training programmes offered by Horizon include, the Private Pilot License (PPL), the Commercial Pilot License (CPL), the Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL), Instrument Rating (IR) and Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) amongst others. Horizon is ISO 9001: 2008 certified and is licensed by the Ministry of Higher Education to offer Higher Diploma alongside its license programmes.
