Al Tomooh Finance Scheme encourages the youth to become entrepreneurs

As part of its efforts to encourage young UAE Nationals to venture into the entrepreneurial world, Al Tomooh Finance Scheme which is an Emirates NBD initiative has made a presentation at the Dubai Women's College to raise awareness of the students about the facilities that Al Tomooh Finance Scheme presents to motivate ambitious UAE Nationals to compete in the world of private business.
During the presentation, Mr. Sulaiman AL Mazroui said, "The UAE is a very diverse economy which presents a lot of business opportunities. At Al Tomooh Finance Scheme we make sure to facilitate the venturing of ambitious UAE Nationals into the world of private business by not only financing the projects, but also by providing management consultancy to succeed in their businesses. We recognize the importance of young educated and talented UAE Nationals who play a vital role in ensuring a sustainable economic growth. I would like to take this opportunity to encourage young UAE Nationals to establish private businesses and take opportunity from the opportunities which are available in the market."
Nao Valentino, Manager of The Entrepreneurship Center at Dubai Women's College said "It is important to promote these vital community programs to those entrepreneurs who can benefit from start-up assistance. We look to entrepreneurs to supply our economy with the innovation necessary for development, and to build the economic engines that drive growth in employment and wealth creation. At the same time, we also rely on the policy makers and entire business community to provide an environment where entrepreneurs can thrive. Emirates NBD Al Tomooh program is an integral part of this community," she concluded.
Al Tomooh Finance Scheme was launched in 1998 as an Emirates NBD initiative aiming at financing UAE National projects and has so far financed almost 113 projects with a total amount of Dhs40m. Recently, Al Tomooh initiated a cooperation agreement with Emirates Islamic Bank to provide Sharia' compliant financing solutions.
