MidEast satellite market ripe for growth, says Inmarsat

Visitors to Cairo Telecomp 2002, the satellite and telecommunication exhibition and conference, taking place in Cairo in January 14-17, can visit the Inmarsat Limited stand to learn about revolutionary mobile communication technologies delivered via satellite.

A EuroConsult report on the future of the satellite market for the next seven years estimated that broadband services will reach $30 billion by 2007, video services to reach $150 billion, mobile voice and data to reach $10 billions and digital audio to reach $ 8 billion. "Our focus is on delivering high-speed global mobile data communications solutions in the business-to-business environment.
This means the Inmarsat partnership provides end-to-end services and could be anything from wireless video conferencing to high-speed Internet connectivity, to a range of specialist applications," explained Yazan Hatamleh, regional business development manager of Inmarsat Ltd. "Our objective from participating in Cairo Telecomp 2002 is to present these capabilities through our range of solutions along with sustaining our active involvement in the realization of the industry's future in the region."
