Invensys Operations Management appoints Saher Cherif as Regional President for Middle East

These responsibilities also extend to include Libya, Egypt and Pakistan. Cherif joined Invensys in March 2009, serving as the company's managing director and vice president for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait.

Sudipta Bhattacharya, president and chief executive officer of Invensys Operations Management, said, "Saher has more than15 years of industry experience and has held positions of leadership with world-class organisations like GE, Phillips and Kodak. Additionally, he has a thorough understanding of the region's business environment and he brings excellent knowledge of structures, processes and best practices to our business."

Before joining Invensys, Cherif served as general manager with Al Khaldiya Group, based in Kuwait. He holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from the American University of Beirut.
