Scores of excited Greens homeowners attended the two-day programme on April 29-30, aimed at introducing them to the various services and support systems provided by the company's various subsidiaries while at the same time enabling them to meet with EMAAR's dedicated customer care team.

Commenting on the success of the event Mr. Mohammed Falasi, Manager, Property Management, EMAAR Properties said: "We are delighted with the overwhelming response to The Greens Showcase. It reiterates EMAAR's commitment to its customers, which starts right from the moment they book their homes to the actual moving-in process and beyond."

Employees from Dubai Bank were present to answer queries and provide homeowners with information on their services. Representatives from Emrill and Sahm Technologies provided an overview of the infrastructure and other facilities that await the homeowners.

The homeowners were advised on room layouts and interior decoration by leading design and interior décor firms like Ikea, Ethan Allen, Marlin Furniture, Bali-eye, Interiors and Cottage Furniture, which decorated life-size rooms to provide them with the 'look and feel' of a furnished Greens home.

Australian couple Jennifer and Ray Adams are renting at The Lakes, but were interested to learn more about living in The Greens. "We have been renting for three years now and will be making an investment in a home of our own soon. The showcase tonight gives us an overview of the property development and range of services available. Having interior decorating displays was an excellent idea and helps one visualise what the interior of a home could look like."

Mr. Thomas, who has been living in the UAE for eighteen years since leaving his native Kerala in India, has bought properties in both The Springs and The Greens developments. Commenting on his investment in a home at The Greens he said: "I bought at The Greens six months ago and am scheduled to move in by the end of May. Tonight has been an informative event and I am now very clear on what to expect in terms of maintenance services and telephone and internet technology, once I move in."

A family man originating from Yemen, Mr. Shawqi Ali Taleb decided to buy the property with the view to rent it. "I have been in Dubai for sixteen years and presently live in Abu Dhabi. My children are still young and we may move to Dubai for schooling purposes in the near future. The comfort and security of a community lifestyle really appeals to us as a family," he said.

Commenting upon the workshop's objective, Mr. Falasi said: "It was our aim to provide an innovative, informal forum for information and interaction between the new homeowners and EMAAR's customer care team. We strived to cover all aspects relating to moving into a new home in order to completely prepare the homeowner on what he would expect. Judging by the response, we have succeeded in our efforts."

The Greens at Emirates Golf Club is a master-planned, gated community that comprises affordable studio, one, two, three and four bedrooms. Its central location provides excellent access to Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City and the American University.

Each complex at The Greens features four individual buildings clustered together, to create an intimate, informal, exclusive courtyard environment for the residents. The modern apartments, which are equipped with quality appliances, are set amidst a lush beautiful landscape dotted with attractive streetscapes and quaint private courtyards. Each courtyard includes a swimming pool and gymnasium, landscaped areas and children's play areas.

Facilities with a supermarket, cafes, fine dining restaurants and a mosque are being developed adjacent to the community. The Greens community will have the standard 24-hour maintenance services and security systems.
