The Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai has been testing the innovative idea of floating houses, revealed Halcrow chairman Anthony Allum in his presentation to the International Investment Summit on Monday. This appears to be a variation of the European houseboat concept, but these are full-sized villas on floating pontoons.
