- PRESS RELEASE
Executives across the Middle East agree that a security focussed roadshow recently held by regional IT security provider, ComGuard across key cities in the Middle East significantly enriched regional understanding about IT security issues and challenges.
The conferences, which were held in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, brought together business leaders and technology managers from across the region to discuss security policies and risk management issues.
Leading decision makers from the industry concurred the event was beneficial to getting a better grasp of understanding the importance of IT security. Executives at ComGuard said that a large number of visitors at the event contributed to making the roadshow one of the most successful in the company's history.
"We've had a lot of internal discussion around IT security, but it's hard to judge how effective the solutions on the market are without expert advice," said Dr. Ali Farmehr, Telcordia Technologies, who attended the Al-Riyadh event. "The conference was extremely useful because it enabled our team to discuss protection issues with our peers, and also gave us access to some of the region's leading security experts."
ComGuard, which conducted the road-show with protection specialists F5 and Netscreen, offered guidance on key solutions and ideas for protecting businesses against external threats. More than 120 delegates attended the Dubai conference, with similarly high numbers attending the Doha, Jeddah and Riyadh events
Based on the success of the seminars, ComGuard is currently considering plans to host another series of conferences for later in the year, in order to meet the rising demand in the region for accurate information on IT security and system protection.
"We were delighted with the number and calibre of attendees at all the events and were particularly excited to see the venue packed to capacity in Dubai," said Daniel Nufer, managing director, ComGuard.
"The high turnout and standard of debate clearly demonstrated that IT security is on the agenda of managing directors and IT executives across the region and it was a great opportunity to help people resolve their business and technology issues," added Nufer.
ComGuard custom-tailors hardware, software, and networking solutions from a range of leading security vendors to meet the specific needs of individual companies in the Middle East, and its multinational team of skilled professionals offers a full-range of training and support services.
