ICICI Infotech Ltd. (Middle East & Africa), a leading developer of enterprise business solutions, today announced that the American International Group (AIG), a leading U.S. based international insurance and financial services organization and the largest underwriter of commercial and industrial insurance in the United States, has selected PREMIA, ICICI Infotech's comprehensive internet-enabled enterprise information solution for the insurance industry. The PREMIA solution was chosen to streamline the company's general non-life insurance business operations in the Gulf Region. PREMIA will be implemented across AIG's offices in Dubai, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon over an eight-month period.

The immediate benefits of implementing PREMIA across all of AIG's operations in the Gulf region will be the seamless integration of their business processes enabling them to cater to their customer's needs in real-time and the critical ability to handle more volumes of business at high speeds. It will also help reduce operating costs and ensure unrestricted access to its mission-critical information across its operations in the region.

"Our choice to go with PREMIA as the enterprise information system for our operation in the region was based on specific deliverables that met our company's business objectives now and into the future," said Mehdi Janmohamed, Regional Director - Operations & Systems, AIG Middle East & South Asia. "We wanted an
advanced, flexible, scalable and above all fully internet-enabled solution that would enable us to serve our customers better, providing them with real-time responses and an efficient service."

"We are delighted to work with AIG on such a project and are confident that PREMIA will enable them to provide enhanced customer service to their growing customer base," said Hari Padmanabhan, President, ICICI Infotech (MEA). "We look forward to building on the success of this project to establish Premia as the 'solution of choice' for global leaders in the Insurance sector."

PREMIA will also help AIG's Gulf Operations to simplify the management process by cutting through the complexity of insurance process requirements and thus provide one simple yet flexible solution, capable of keeping them in the fast lane and meeting their aggressive growth plans.
