GLOBAL account MashreqMobile customers will be receiving notifications when their salary has been credited and any other inward remittances, a weekly account balance, when their standing instructions have been executed and alerts on any cheque discrepancies.

The service is working now and will be completely free for the first three-month trial period. Thereafter GLOBAL Gold customers will continue receiving the service free.

"Phone banking services are rapidly growing in popularity as they give customers instant updates on the status of their accounts and the reassurance of knowing where they stand financially. For mobile users who have roaming, this also means they know things like when their salary has been paid even when travelling on business or on holiday," said Steven Pinto, Head of the Retail Banking Group, Mashreqbank.
