Amex (Saudi Arabia) Limited Launches Saudi Riyal Gold Credit Card

Amex (Saudi Arabia) Limited announced today the launch of its New Gold Credit Card billed in Saudi Riyals.

The New Saudi Riyal Gold Credit Card aims to complement and provide more local financial flexibility to the already existing dollar based prestigious American Express Gold Charge Card.

This launch builds on the success of Blue, which was the first Saudi Riyal-based credit card to be issued by Amex (Saudi Arabia) Limited in October last year.

"The Gold Credit Card complements the already large portfolio of American Express Cards for everyday personal and business use and is aimed at financially responsible affluent Saudi professionals who want a prestigious card that provides greater flexibilities for their finances with a mix of local and global services," said Mazin Khoury, Chief Executive Officer, Amex (Saudi Arabia) Limited.

In addition to billing in Saudi Riyals and payment by installments, the American Express Gold Credit Card has a wide range of benefits that include Travel Accident Insurance up to the value of SR 375,000, Travel Inconvenience Insurance against flight delays, lost luggage, cancellations and overbooking, complimentary access to airport lounges throughout the Middle East, regardless of class of travel, and Worldwide Emergency Assistance.

The American Express Gold Credit Card is accepted at thousands of outlets in Saudi Arabia and millions worldwide, and features Retail Protection, Online Fraud Guarantee, Express Cash, Emergency Card Replacement and 24 hour Customer Service. Unlimited Additional Cards are also available for family members.
