FedEx wins the Gold Category of the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award

Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), the world's largest express transportation company, has received the first Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award in the Gold Category.

The Award was presented by Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Court of His Highness the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Executive Council Member and Honorary President of ADCCI presented the award to Hamdi Osman, Vice President, FedEx Middle East, Indian Sub-Continent and Africa at a ceremony held in Abu Dhabi, UAE. FedEx previously won the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award in April 2000.

The Award aims to encourage the private sector to follow modern, scientific methods, apply quality standards and upgrade efficiency in services. Ultimately, encouraging national enterprises to more effectively compete in the global marketplace.

"The Sheikh Khalifa Awards for Excellence is a constant motivation for everyone in the private sector to re-examine their working methods in order to improve performance," said Hamdi Osman.

"The receipt of this award is another important element in achieving the FedEx goal of 100 per cent customer satisfaction. Quality is a core value at FedEx.
