The centers, which are based in Riyadh, Jeddah and Al-Khobar offer comprehensive support for HP products including PCs, servers, portable computing products, laserjet and inkjet printers, large format plotters and many other peripherals sold in the Kingdom.
The center will be staffed by an experienced team of fully-certified HP engineers and will have an extensive stock of spare parts. All warranty and post-warranty services will be handled at the centers which will employ a total of around 20 people
'This is extremely good news for HP customers throughout the Kingdom,' says Fawwaz Qadan, General Manager of HP Services in Saudi Arabia. 'We have always offered our customers the highest quality products supported by our network of partners throughout the Kingdom. Given the huge growth that HP has enjoyed in Saudi Arabia across the last five years we believed that the time was now right to establish these centers.'
Customers will have the option to return products to their resellers or directly to the HP Service Center. The company is also launching a toll-free service on 800 897 1444 through which customers can receive product advice and information, technical assistance and repair status information.
The centers offer a maximum five-day return time, same day product exchange (where appropriate), on-site next business day support, and customer specific repair times. The services centers will operate in parallel with the HP Authorized Service Provider (ASP) program, which will continue to operate.
'We have been very ambitious in the service targets that we have set,' says Khalid Hussein, Customer Support Manager, HP Services in Saudi Arabia. 'So our customers in Saudi Arabia are assured of our highest level of commitment by extending our worldwide branded services to ensure their needs are met in quality and time manners. '
