  • PRESS RELEASE

Hilton International, the world's leading hotel chain, has joined forces with card giant Visa International to launch a new summer holiday promotion, 'Hilton For Free.'

Middle East travellers can gain free incremental room nights, when booking for three consecutive nights or more at over 120 Hilton hotels worldwide up until the end of September.

"With the summer season ahead, we are proud to introduce an even better promotion this year. With more hotel options than ever before, Hilton for Free gives Middle East travellers the chance to explore a new region and get a week's holiday overseas while only paying for five nights," said Guy Epsom, Regional Sales and Marketing Director, Hilton International, Arabian Peninsula.

"Although we are predominantly targeting the leisure market, this offer can also be utilised by business travellers who continue to travel across the world during the summer season and are looking for added value," added Epsom.

For every three consecutive nights stay, guests receive one further night free, for every five nights stayed, guests receive two nights free, and for every seven consecutive nights booked, guests will receive three extra nights free of charge.

All Visa cardholders will also enjoy a ten per cent discount when booking their holiday this summer using a Visa card. Additionally, guests will also receive 500 Hilton HHonors points and double Air Miles with participating regional airlines. For the first time ever, the offer is applicable not only to Deluxe Rooms, but also for Suites and Executive Floor rooms.

Iain Jamieson, Vice President, Business Development in the Middle East for Visa International said, "As travel is the highlight of summer months, we are delighted to partner with Hilton in providing our cardholders with an opportunity to enjoy an exclusive summer break at affordable prices. Visa cards offer great convenience when travelling, but more importantly, our association with an internationally reputed chain like Hilton helps add greater value to our cardholders."

Hilton for Free provides the benefit of getting free night stays at destinations in Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Most major city hotels are featured including Amsterdam, Athens, Brussels, Edinburgh, London, Lyon, Luxembourg and Paris.

A new addition to this year's promotion is the landmark Hilton Athens, sporting a new look following a US$95 million refurbishment. Facing the spectacular Acropolis, the 517-room Hilton Athens is located on one of the capital's most fashionable avenues and opposite the National Art Gallery.

Meanwhile, travellers can also escape to the cooler climes of Scotland at the magnificent Caledonian Hilton Edinburgh. Built in 1903, it is situated in the very heart of the city, in the shadow of the famous 14th century Edinburgh Castle. The hotel provides the finest possible base from which to explore one of the world's most beautiful cities.

The offer also applies to more leisurely and tranquil destinations such as the romantic Hilton Maldives Resort & Spa, built on two tropical islands surrounded by crystal clear waters and fabulous coral reefs. A 500 metre footbridge links the two islands that have 150 individual villas, some set on stilts over the lagoon.
