knet partners with CIM to offer the CIM Introductory Certificates starting in July, Professional Certificate and Professional Diploma in Marketing qualifications both starting in early August and the CIM Post-graduate Diploma courses are in the works as well.
The Introductory Certificate is targeted at those who want to answer the question, 'what is marketing?' It is ideal for fresh graduates, junior marketing, secretarial, or administrative roles. It often helps individuals operating on the periphery of marketing to get a basic understanding of the field. It provides grounding in essential marketing theory and with practical knowledge to put into action in the workplace.
The Professional Certificate is aimed at individuals working in tactical marketing and sales positions who aspire to a career in marketing. Consisting of four modules: Marketing Essentials, Assessing the Marketing Environment, Marketing Information and Research, and Stakeholder Marketing he Professional Certificate allows students to gain an understanding of the role of marketing in business, how to utilise marketing research to improve customer communications, recognise the importance of collecting relevant data, and to distinguish between the types of organisation within the public, private and voluntary sectors.
The Professional Diploma is aimed at individuals looking to build practical skills in operational marketing management and to broaden their strategic perspective, as well as those who are looking to build on knowledge gained at Certificate level with a future marketing management role in mind. The program is often a stepping stone to more senior marketing roles and often used to consolidate knowledge in the field.
The programme comprises four modules: Marketing Research and Information, Marketing Planning Process, Delivering Customer Value through Marketing, Managing Marketing, and Project Management in Marketing. The content of the CIM courses have been put together following consultation with employers to ensure that students gain relevant competencies for various stages of their marketing careers.
Abdulqader Al Khaja, Chief Executive Officer of knet, believes that marketing is central to organisations surviving the economic slowdown and positioning themselves to leap forward with the recovery. Marketing touches all business operations and individuals who want to further their careers benefit from a solid understanding the fundamentals of marketing theory.
"Demand for CIM qualifications has remained strong through the downturn and we have seen some of our recent graduates move up to some very attractive positions following their course. We must encourage those interested to register and complete placement exams early to secure a place on the courses,"
Matthew Laubengayer, Business Development Manager at Knet , added.
