Beiersdorf Brand is 'Global Mega Brand Franchises'

Beiersdorf is recognized as a Global Mega Brand Franchise in a new global brand study, 'Global Mega Brand Franchises - Extending Brands within a Global Marketplace', released by AC Nielsen recently.
Of the sixty-two brands identified, Beiersdorf's NIVEA brand was named 'Global Mega Brand Franchise'.
Beiersdorf's success is attributed not only to the strength of the brand itself, but also to those behind the scenes who have enhanced awareness and established brand loyalty amongst consumers thus increasing sales of the Beiersdorf product ranges.
To qualify for the Global Mega Brand Franchises, a brand has to have products that were marketed under the same brand name in at least three different categories (based on AC Nielsen's category definitions); it has to meet the brand franchise criteria in at least three of five geographical regions, and has to be sold in at least fifteen of the fifty countries studied; and lastly, brand must be sold in grocery, mass merchandise and pharmacy outlets.
