Mafraq Hospital appoints new consultants

Dr. Raufi has joined Mafraq Hospital from the US where he worked as Director Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at the John D Dingell V A Medical Center, Detroit which is a 108-bed full service medical center providing primary, secondary and tertiary care. He was also appointed Assistant Professor Interventional Cardiology at the Wayne State University, School of Medicine, Detroit and was an active member of Cardio Team One which is a 24 hour in-hospital service offered by Interventional Cardiologists to decrease door to balloon time.

Dr Jacquet worked for many years in Europe specializing in anesthesia and critical care medicine. He gained experience in burns and plastic surgery in the Regional Hospital Schwerte, and also in the Burns Unit at Bochum University Hospital. He headed the ICU at the Regional Hospital Schwerte and Wuppertal. During his time in Wuppertal University Hospital he assisted with research and investigations about the oxygen status of the septic patient, using Oxymetry catheters for the pulmonary artery and the liver veins.
