Mafraq Hospital appoints new consultants

Mafraq Hospital has appointed two new consultants to support its quality roster of surgeons and physicians. Dr Muhammad Adnan Raufi has joined as Consultant Interventional Cardiologist, and Dr Markus Roland Jacquet as Consultant Anesthesia.
Dr Jacquet worked for many years in Europe specializing in anesthesia and critical care medicine. He gained experience in burns and plastic surgery in the Regional Hospital Schwerte, and also in the Burns Unit at Bochum University Hospital. He headed the ICU at the Regional Hospital Schwerte and Wuppertal. During his time in Wuppertal University Hospital he assisted with research and investigations about the oxygen status of the septic patient, using Oxymetry catheters for the pulmonary artery and the liver veins.
Dr Mohammad Yaman, Chief Medical Officer Mafraq Hospital, said,'Doctors as specialized and qualified as Dr Raufi and Dr Jacquet are hard to find. Our strategy is to recruit the best in all areas of medicine to support our current services at Mafraq Hospital and also so we can continue to offer world class health care when we move to our new location.'
