Herbal medicine ads banned in Lebanon

Lebanon's National Audiovisual Media Council has warned all local media outlets to stop the illegal advertising of herbal medicine or face a three-day closure, The Daily Star has reported. Earlier this month, the General Directorate of General Security in Lebanon announced that advertisements for herbal medicines were prohibited. Radio and television stations have been given a grace period to stop advertising the products, Abdel-Hadi Mahfouz president of the council said.
