United Development Company to be Diamond Sponsor at Ministry for Business and Trade event

The United Development Company (UDC) will be the Diamond Sponsor of the 2nd Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to be held in Doha on September 28th and organized by the Ministry for Business and Trade.

The conference will discuss the State of Qatar's policies in relation to CSR and how they relate to companies operating here in Qatar. The conference will also examine the standards endorsed by the United Nations and aims to lay the necessary foundations for applying the principles of social responsibility to Qatari companies.

A United Development Company spokesperson, said it was important for companies operating in Qatar to take their corporate social responsibility obligations seriously.

"This conference will be discussing the vital issue of corporate social responsibility and also make recommendations about ways in which companies in Qatar can work to world standards on this,"


the spokesperson said.

"As a company operating in Qatar but expanding internationally, UDC places a great deal of importance on CSR and fulfilling our responsibilities."
