Jumeirah post-office begins offering E-Vision
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, May 14 - 2003 at 14:23
- PRESS RELEASE
The Jumeirah post-office became the first Emirates Post outlet to offer E-Vision subscription services to the public, following a recent agreement between the two organisations.
"The addition of E-Vision subscription services to our offering at post-offices reflects Emirates Post's strategy to offer diversified facilities under one roof, such as ATM machines and utility payment machines in postal outlets all over the country. In Dubai, we have also started the sale of Dubai Municipality's prepaid parking cards at postal outlets," Mr. Daboos said. "E-Vision is a national project that is committed to providing state of the art TV and entertainment services to the community. Our outlets will enable a larger section of the community to gain access to E-Vision services."
"The launch of E-Vision services at Jumeirah Post Office has evoked an excellent response, especially from the residents of Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Barsha, Jumeirah and surrounding areas," added Mr. Daboos. "We expect the number of people using the service will increase in the coming days."
Jumeirah Post-Office also became the first Emirates Post outlet to offer ATM banking facilities after Union National Bank installed an ATM in March 2003. The post-office already offers telephone bill payment facility through Etisalat machines.
After Jumeirah, the E-Vision subscription services will be available at Karama Central post office and Sharjah Central post office from the end of May 2003. Thereafter, the service will be introduced in different parts of the country in a phased manner with the aim of making E-Vision subscription services available at most postal outlets in the near future.
