Dubai 2003 Organising Committee approves specialised publications to be produced for annual meetings

The Organising Committee of Dubai 2003 has reviewed samples of specialized publications that will be distributed to delegates participating at the Annual Meetings of the Boards of Governors of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund in Dubai in September.
The Committee members also discussed the visit to Dubai of the Joint Secretariat of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund from May 24-29, and also the agenda that would be taken up during their visit. The meeting also outlined the participation of a delegation from the Organising Committee in various economic and finance conferences and seminars related to the Annual Meetings in Beirut, Geneva, Doha and Amman.
The Organising Committee also approved the display of a giant 18 x 24 ft mural at the Dubai International Convention Centre, the venue of the Annual Meetings, as part of a joint programme that will be undertaken on the sidelines of the Annual Meetings between Dubai 2003 and International Child Art Foundation.
The colourful mural will feature the continents of the world and depict the message of peace and love from children all over the world.
The Organising Committee holds a weekly meeting at Dubai International Convention Centre to review the preparations being made for the Annual Meetings and the work being done by the specific committees covering a number of areas including Accomodation, Administrative Services and Public Relations, Finance, Purchasing and Marketing, International Transport and Freight Services, Local Transportation, Medical Services, Media, Security, Technology Services and Venue and Facilities.
