Launch of CrediMax - University of Bahrain Visa card

In the first move of its kind in Bahrain, CrediMax introduced its latest innovative product; CrediMax - University of Bahrain Visa card, specifically for the use of the University students.

The launch took place yesterday morning at the university's premises in Sakheer, during a press conference held jointly by CrediMax, Visa International and the University of Bahrain (UOB).

The CrediMax - University of Bahrain Visa card, is being offered to the students free of charge and only two conditions have to be met; to have a GPA not less then 2.5 out of 4.0 and to have completed at least 30 credit hours. The card's credit limit is set at BD 100 to enable students to manage their financial resources at an early stage of life.

"Emanating from our strong belief of the importance of education and our desire to further facilitate finances for students and encourage their academic success, we are now launching the CrediMax - University of Bahrain Visa Card, the first of its kind in Bahrain, with special privileges for students who wish to acquire additional financial support", said Mr. Mohammed Ebrahim Mohammed, General Manager of CrediMax.

Designed specially for students, the CrediMax - University of Bahrain Visa card enables the cardholder to benefit from special discounted prices on offer from 20 outlets in Bahrain today, and the number will increase in the future. Through their card utilization, the students will be contributing to their Student Fund as well.

"Through this programme, we will contribute a percentage of total card utilization to the University Student Fund. We aim to help them manage their financial resources and get acquainted with plastic money" explained Mr. Moh'd Ebrahim Moh'd.

Holders of the CrediMax - University of Bahrain Visa card will get all the benefits awarded to regular CrediMax Visa card holders , but with lower interest rate, an interest free credit period, worldwide acceptance and much more.

Present at the launch ceremony were CrediMax General Manger Mr. Mohammed Ebrahim Mohammed, Dr. Alawi H. Al Hashimi - University of Bahrain Vice President for Planning and Community Service, Salman Ali Ebrahim - President of the Student Council, and the Visa International Deputy General Manager for Central Europe and the Middle East Mr. Jonathan Cabedo, as well as other senior officials and representatives from the University Students Council.
