The two day special attracted an 'overwhelming response' with local resellers, supported by HP's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Center, who sold over 1000 units.
'The main point to emerge from this campaign is that the local PC market is in excellent shape,' said Christoph Schell, General Manager, HP Personal Systems Group (PSG) in the Middle East. 'There is clearly great demand for top quality branded products at an attractive price supported by world-class service. The success of this campaign in the UAE has encouraged us to extend it throughout the region.'
The HP campaign focused on two particular models the Compaq Evo D310 microtower and the Compaq Evo N1020v notebook. It was a co-ordinated campaign with HP's CRM Center team working in close co-operation with three of the company's resellers.
'This is a great example of how our CRM Center can work effectively with our traditional channel partners,' said Karen Bell-Wright, Manager of the HP CRM Center. 'We have built up an extensive database of potential customers, particularly in the small to medium business space and our staff were able to alert them to these special offers. With the support of our three partners we were able to drive this campaign in a very dynamic manner.'
