Business travellers name Hertz as Middle East's best car rental company

  • United Arab Emirates: Thursday, May 15 - 2003 at 14:40
  • PRESS RELEASE

Business travellers have selected Hertz as the best car rental company in the Middle East, and the award is being celebrated in 11 countries across the region.

Hertz was singled out by readers of Business Traveller Middle East, and honoured during the magazine's annual awards ceremony which coincided with the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai.

It was a truly region-wide success for the world's largest car rental company, which is represented in the Middle East by franchise operations in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the UAE and Yemen and by general sales agents in Saudi and Bahrain.

"By maintaining very high service levels, providing modern and efficient car rental fleets, and boosting awareness of the Hertz brand, each one of our partners in the Middle East has contributed to this award," said Hertz Middle East franchise director, Richard Hillman. "Business travellers represent a major part of our customer base in the region, as they do around the world, so an award given by readers of a leading business travel magazine is very significant for us."

Bob Farrow, general manager of Hertz UAE, collected the award from celebrity chef Anton Mosimann on behalf of Hertz in the Middle East. It was one of 25 awards presented during the second annual Business Travellers Middle East Awards ceremony at the Emirates Towers hotel in Dubai.

During Arabian Travel Market, Hertz had confirmed that it will continue to expand its car rental services across the Middle East in a drive to maintain its lead position in the regional market and boost customer services and benefits.

Development plans include more new Hertz branches, bigger car rental fleets with a wider choice of new models, enhanced customer service, and more brand loyalty programmes offering an extensive range of customer benefits.
