Hatta Fort General Manager returns to the mountain retreat

Having arrived in Dubai in 1978, Sergio was formerly responsible for overseeing the completion and opening of the Hatta Fort Hotel, where he then remained for 20 years. In this time the hotel became and still remains one of the most exclusive boutique hotels in the mountains of the Emirates, and enjoys its status as the only 'Relais & Chateaux' hotel in Dubai.

Sergio retired with his wife Sandra to the Isle of Man in 1997 but the lure of the mountains was too much for this eternally active gentleman, and he arrived back at Hatta Fort Hotel at the beginning of April 2003.

Sergio said, 'I am delighted to be back at Hatta Fort Hotel - when you have been part of something for 20 years and put your heart and soul into making it a success, it is very difficult to be parted from it. Although the travel industry has experienced a downturn recently, I believe that people are now ready to travel again and Dubai will benefit even more than before, so I am looking forward to a challenging and rewarding few years at the helm.'
