- PRESS RELEASE
Excitement is building among tenants and the public as Sahara Centre's grand opening draws closer.
The 120-store mall will feature a stunning range of fashion stores for women, men and children. Two European womenswear brands, Stefanel and Tally Weijl, are both brought to the UAE marketplace for the first time by Liwa Trading Enterprises, and will be a strong feature at the mall.
Another first for the UAE is Casa Mia, the interiors shop that is Jashanmal's latest concept in home accessories. The concept has already been launched with huge success in Bahrain and Kuwait.
Meanwhile, Sahara Centre provides 14 fast food outlets to cater for every taste, including global brands such as McDonalds, Starbucks, and Baskin Robbins, as well as more ethnic cuisine such as Shish Kebabs, which claims to serve the world's best kebabs. In addition, the mall will feature three major sit-down restaurants and three cafes.
Raymond Casey, Managing Director, Sahara Centre, said: "The start date of February 20 was chosen to coincide with the launch of our many fashion retailers' spring and summer collections. Sahara Centre is one of the most eagerly-anticipated retail developments in the UAE, and features one of the largest entertainment parks in the Middle East. It has all the attributes to be hugely successful.
"With a strategic location between the two large consumer markets of Sharjah and Dubai, its strong tenant mix and pleasing retail and leisure environment, we are confident the mall will emerge as one of the UAE's premier shopping destinations."

Being built at a cost of Dhs. 400 million in the fast-growing Al Nahda district of Sharjah, the total built-out area of the mall will be 1 million square feet, making it the largest shopping mall in the emirate of Sharjah.
