  • United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, September 07 - 2010 at 11:01
  • PRESS RELEASE

ExpatWoman.com registered an all-time-high in traffic statistics for the month of August this year, with 135,000 unique visitors recorded. A dip in traffic might have been anticipated, with many expatriate families on holiday, but the unique visitor vs. returning visitor ratio explains the up-swing: 30% visitors to the site were new in July and August- compared to a normal mid-year average of 23%. With page views consistently up to 4 million per month, and hits up to 15 million, ExpatWoman.com clearly dominates the field in its' niche- offering of marketing to expatriate women.

"Site statistics continue to improve month on month. The higher the traffic, the greater the reach and the better the service we can deliver to our many online clients," says Jane Drury, creator and MD of the website. ExpatWoman.com's objective is to become the number one information resource for life in the UAE and with an established, loyal readership and newcomers finding the site daily, it is well on its' way.

"Typically, new readers are attracted, when initially looking for information about moving to the region but the online resources offered and wealth of information on the site, hook a high rate of returning visitors. The 40 feature sections of the on-line magazine are updated monthly, the Home Page highlights change weekly, Dubai Deals & Job Ads are added daily, Classifieds Ads by the hour and the information forum. about every 10 seconds!" Jane continues.

ExpatWoman.com, the brain child of the entrepreneurial Jane Drury, started off as a home- printed newsletter to help company wives settle in to expat life and has now become a thriving commercial interest. The company is not just a virtual reality- it enters the physical world through over 500 events a year; from mums & tots groups to store openings, coffee mornings to product launches, themed events to educational and advisory seminars.

The addition of the EWS Publishing arm in 2009, facilitated the successful launch of YOU! Magazine, which has a reach of 100,000 readers, primarily via premium expat schools. "2009 wasn't the best time to launch a magazine," says Jane, "but launching Dubai's only community-based magazine for expats, through a unique and valuable distribution niche, underpinned by a sound client base, we were confident we could weather the storm, and we did." The events and magazine add to the overall offering for customers and complete the unique 360 degree promotional approach for clients.

"We have a targeted demographic that appeals to a wide range of advertising clients whether through online advertising and editorial; through print advertising and promotion and through event sponsorship for face to face contact with potential customers. It's a win- win situation- our clients see positive results and our visitors are happy," Jane summarises.

There will be continuous, incremental improvements and new features introduced to the website over the rest of 2010, to further enhance visitor experience to this well established, one- stop, informational online resource.
