- PRESS RELEASE
Firmly establishing Jaguar in a field of its own Mohammed Jalal & Sons (MJS) Automotive Division has announced a BD1m investment in a stand-alone showroom for this very popular prestigious car to be built in Sitra near the Ma'ameer roundabout.
A ground-breaking ceremony is planned for later this month to lay the new foundations for the showroom in Sitra. The showroom will cover over four thousand square metres of spacious, striking interior to offset the latest Jaguar models on display.
This ambitious move reflects the success of the new Jaguar models worldwide which has led to a global increase in Jaguar popularity with the Jaguar X-type becoming the fastest selling Jaguar ever. Over 100,000 have been sold since it's launch in 2001.
"Both the X-Type and the S-Type have proven very popular within the Bahrain market place and this has helped our sales to increase in line with this global pattern," said Mr John Murray, General Manager of MJS in Bahrain. "We expect to see a rise in sales with the launch of the new Jaguar XJ8 in June as customers are already placing orders for the new car," he added.
The automotive division of Mohammed Jalal and Sons was established in 1964 and holds the franchise for Jaguar, Peugeot, Suzuki and Subaru. The company has a full service department and body shop for all brands of vehicles and a comprehensive spare parts division located in Al Khamis.
