Ibrahim Belselah meets Governor of Lebanon's Central Bank at Arab Investment Conference in Beirut

Mr. Ibrahim Belselah, General Coordinator of Dubai 2003 has met the Governor of Lebanon's Central Bank, Mr. Riad Salama on the sidelines of the 9th Arab Investment Conference and Capital Markets Conference in Beirut, which is being held under the patronage of His Excellency, Mr. Rafik Harriri, Prime Minister of Lebanon.

During the meeting, Mr. Belselah and Mr. Salama discussed the Annual Meetings of the Boards of Governors of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund, which will be hosted by the UAE in September. Mr. Belselah said that the UAE was well prepared to host the event for the first time in the Arab world. He said that Arab states should make all efforts to help make the Annual Meetings a huge success, and in the process further strengthen the trust of the international community in the Arab world's capability to host similar international events.

Mr. Salama said that Lebanon was looking forward to participating at this unique event with a delegation comprising prominent businessmen and economic and financial experts. The Lebanese delegation would be taking with them to Dubai an important programme to be presented at the Annual Meetings.

Dubai 2003 is participating at the 9th Arab Investment Conference and Capital Markets Conference in Beirut with a special stand that has attracted leading economic and financial personalities. It has provided Dubai 2003 an excellent opportunity to promote the Annual Meetings, interact with leading figures who would be attending the event in Dubai in September, and help further enhance Dubai's image as a regional hub for business and finance.
