The agreement makes Lincoln, one of the world's most established names in luxury cars, the official and exclusive automobile of The Montgomerie, Dubai and provides the club with two immaculate vehicles to serve as dedicated VIP courtesy cars - a 2003 Lincoln Town Car and Lincoln LS.

The tie-up also includes a significant investment in The Montgomerie's facilities and personnel and offers prominent branding opportunities for the Lincoln name at different locations around the course and on equipment and merchandise.

"This is the perfect match," said Zafer Taher, Regional Marketing & Communications manager, Ford Middle East. "The Lincoln brand is synonymous with luxury, class-leading products and exclusivity - the very same values that make The Montgomerie, Dubai the special venue it is."

Andrew Humberstone, general manager, Al Tayer Motors, said: "We have a long association with sport and this partnership is especially exciting as The Montgomerie, Dubai sets a new benchmark for world-class golf in the UAE."
Featuring more than 500 new components and a hugely responsive V8 engine, the new Lincoln LS mid-size sedan remains at the cutting edge of American luxury and power while featuring styling cues and driving dynamics of a distinctly European heritage.

The 2003 Lincoln Town Car is synonymous with limousine luxury in the UAE and elsewhere in the region - and for 2003 the car comes with a host of refinements, including a six-inch longer wheelbase, re-designed hood and fenders, a sturdier frame, new suspension and power steering, and a more powerful 4.6-litre V8 engine.

Dr Humberstone added: "When you factor in safety features like four-wheel ABS and dual-stage airbags for both the driver and front passenger, it comes as no surprise that the Lincoln Town Car recently won top honours in the mid luxury category of J.D Power's annual quality rankings."

The Montgomerie, Dubai is an 18-hole par 72 championship golf course designed by the Ryder Cup-winning golf pro Colin Montgomerie in association with Desmond Muirhead. It is managed by world leaders in golf course management and development Troon Golf and developed by Emaar, the region's foremost property development company.

Covering more than 200 acres, the course features 79 bunkers, water features and the world's largest green. The Montgomerie Academy, which offers world-class practice facilities and innovative coaching programmes, is an additional attraction.

David Spencer, Project Director of Troon Golf, said: "This association with Lincoln is the perfect platform to build awareness of a stunning golf venue and offer additional luxury, comfort and convenience to our members and visitors."

He added: "Lincoln is the right fit for The Montgomerie, Dubai and the agreement represents a valuable investment in one of the UAE's favourite sports."
