The May/June issue of Departures, a luxury lifestyle magazine published exclusively for American Express Platinum and Centurion Card members, revealed its readers' ultimate travel picks in the first Departures Readers' Favorite Survey.

Out of more than 650 hotels, Departure's readers, known to be among the most knowledgeable and well-traveled readers, placed The Ritz-Carlton, Sharm El Sheikh among their top favorite five hotels in Africa and the Middle East.
