FedEx invests in the region by starting work on the new facility in Bahrain

Sheikh Hamed Bin Khalifa, Executive Director, Global Logistical Services, Mr Ali Ahmed Al Jaweheri, Managing Director, Global Logistical Services and Hamdi Osman, Vice President of Operations, FedEx Middle East, Indian Sub-Continent and Africa have signed the lease agreement for the land where a new state-of-the-art FedEx warehouse and distribution centre will be built.

The new facility, which also includes an office building, will be at the Bahrain International Airport and is due to open in October 2003.

The opening of the centre will give FedEx customers in Bahrain and the Middle East seamless access to the world class services that customers expect from us," said Hamdi Osman. "It is a further example of FedEx's continuing commitment to the region in terms of both investment and the creation of job opportunities."
