The SmartBase MPC190 is Canon's most compact full-colour all-in-one

This compact machine offers users fast, photo quality printing and copying and up to 9600 dpi scanning for optimum all-in-one performance.

Designed for the home user and small business use, this new machine not only produces crisp copies and prints but also delivers high-resolution scans. This is a fully featured All-in-One device, which offers Photo Quality output and top quality features in one attractive unit.

The SmartBase MPC190 delivers a high print resolution of 2400 _ 1200 dpi ensuring sharp prints and a broad colour range, even on plain paper. With a fast print speed of 14 ppm for monochrome and 10 ppm for colour, the MPC190 complements the rest of Canon's line up with its borderless printing and copying feature in both A4 and 4" x 6" formats.

As a digital colour copier, the SmartBase MPC190 has all the features normally associated with a dedicated high-quality machine, providing a copy resolution of 600 x 600 dpi monochrome and 1200 x 1200 colour. At 14 pages per minute in monochrome, and 10 ppm in colour this machine meets the users needs for fast copying speeds. The MPC190 also boasts a 25-400% zoom function as well as other convenient features such as 2-on-1 copying and Image Repeat.

The SmartBase MPC190 is also a high-resolution scanner, giving resolutions of 600 x 1200 dpi optical up to 9600 dpi enhanced. While colour reproduction is ensured by 36-bit colour depth, the 256 shades of grey scale give clear monochrome scans. And by using the Multi-Photo scan function, it is possible to separate images that were scanned in a single take, each of which can then be treated individually.

The combination of high-resolution printing capability and Advanced Microfine Droplet TechnologyTM means that the SmartBase MPC190 can consistently provide a crisp, high-contrast result, even on plain paper. Canon's Advanced Microfine Droplet Technology gives the most accurate dot placement, sharpness and density possible so the print quality is always consistent. And even 25 years light fastness* is guaranteed when using Canon's Photo Paper Pro PR 101, for long lasting sharp-looking documents with no ink-bleed or fading.

Surprisingly compact, the high performance SmartBase MPC 190 measures less than 40 x 55cms and has a very small footprint. With an attractively styled blue scanner lid and easy to use operation panel, this user-friendly All-In-One is exceptionally appealing to creative households or small businesses where space is limited but no concessions can be made to quality.

The USB 2.0 interface ensures full compatibility with Windows® 98, ME, 2000 and XP. The SmartBase MPC190 can be installed within minutes. Thanks to the All-in-One concept, just a single cable and one computer driver are required.
