Other built-in features include a DVD-R/RW multi-function drive and the innovative c-Pad touch pad from Synaptics, providing both a secondary display and the ability to control applications, such as desktop launcher, calculator and signature reader.

'Finally, a notebook's credentials need no longer be qualified by the phrase 'good¡Kfor a notebook',' said Khalil.

The Satellite 5200-902 also includes a wide range of input and output devices, including a Secure Digital (SD) expansion slot, Harmon/Kardon speakers with sub-woofer, a TV-out port, three USB 2.0 ports and a high-speed i.Link (IEEE 1394) port.
