Saudi Hollandi Bank holds seminar for top Saudi managers

Some of the Kingdom's leading managers from high-profile Saudi companies today took part in an industry forum on strategic management.

The event, which was organized in Riyadh at the Four Seasons Hotel by the Saudi Hollandi Bank and also held in Jeddah and Alkhobar between May 24-26, was a great success, with more than 200 participants across the three locations.

The seminars were led by Professor Anthony Hourihan, a specialist in the management of financial institutions from University College Dublin, and was attended by the Saudi Hollandi Bank's main customers, including company owners, CEOs and MDs.

Peter Baltussen, the managing director of the Saudi Hollandi Bank said that the seminars were part of the bank's initiative to develop management planning throughout the Kingdom and to discover modern strategies and ideas. "We are continuously working hard on these subjects to improve our managerial performance for the sake of, not only the bank, but for our customers," he said.

Baha Bakr, the treasury General Manager of the Saudi Marketing & Research Group, who attended the event said, "I believe that this series of forums clarified in an expansive way that the finance and business arena in the Kingdom and the region does not work in isolation from the rest of the world. It reaffirmed the need for long term vision, flexibility and to accept change." He added that the forum addressed fundamental rules for business, and that the style of presentation opened participants' eyes to look at business issues with greater insight.
