- PRESS RELEASE
The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel and Spa was recently confirmed as the venue for arabal 2004 which is being organised by Bahrain's aluminium industry and will take place on 19-21st April 2004 under the patronage of His Highness the Prime Minister, Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
The organising committee of arabal 2004 consisting of Alba, Balexco, Garmco, Midal Cables, Bahrain Atomisers International (BAI) and a representative from the Ministry of Oil has been established and, after careful consideration, has selected The Ritz-Carlton as the preferred venue.
More than 600 delegates from all over the world are expected to attend the conference and exhibition, which is hosted biennially in turn, by Kuwait, UAE, Egypt and Bahrain. The last event was held in the UAE in 2001.
According to the arabal organising committee, an exciting combination of global experts has been invited to speak at the event under the theme 'Critical Issues, Global Trends and Drivers'. At the same time an international exhibition of industry specialists will run alongside the conference.
Rayan Kazerooni from Alba heading up the working committee said "We are pleased to be able to work together with The Ritz-Carlton for this very prestigious event and we feel sure that the visitors to arabal will not be disappointed with this wonderful venue".
This region now accounts for more than 5 percent of the total global primary aluminium production and is a major source of quality aluminium products for consumers of the world. The amount of industry interest in the region generally, and the conference specifically with delegates attending in the past from over 30 countries, is a clear indication of the role the region now plays on the international aluminium scene.
