The award, given to Tech Data at the Hewlett Packard Channel Partner Conference, recognises Tech Data's leadership at a European level. "We took a decision to increase resources and our commitment to Hewlett Packard's imaging and printing technologies earlier this year when we expanded to take on the UAE market. This is recognition of just how Tech Data is delivering as a result," said Tech Data Managing Director Steve Lockie.
The Channel Partner Conference, held at the Hotel Martinez in Cannes, France, brought together HP partners from around Europe in a three-day meeting from the 26th-28th May. Some 120 partners were represented, with a number of key European achievers gaining recognition for their work.
"We're obviously delighted at this recognition," said Lockie. "We're excited at the growth in the complete imaging solutions market, and we're working hard with channel partners to realise the value-added sales that this market brings."
Supply chain efficiency, channel credit, business development and marketing management are all integrated into Tech Data's strategy to capture the regional imaging and printing product market, with estimates of over $100 million for the UAE market alone showing the sector to be an important area of the regional desktop technology market.
