Business Travel Show Middle East will be attended by all leading travel suppliers in the region who will showcase their latest products and services, while the show will also host a two-day education conference on travel policy and a range of networking events that will facilitate new contacts and best-practice sharing.

The Ministry revealed that it will take advantage of the networking potential of Business Travel Show Middle East to reinforce the growing reputation of Oman as a world-class venue for business meetings, events, conferences and other business-related activities. Representatives of the Ministry of Tourism will be participating in the various educational sessions of the Travel Show, while Ministry officials will be attending a number of pre-arranged meetings with various travel suppliers and other key industry players.

Salem Al Mamari, Director General of Tourism Promotion, Oman Ministry of Tourism, said:
"Oman is fast-emerging as leading business tourism destination in line with aggressive investments in world-class hospitality projects and state-of-the-art business facilities across the country. The upcoming Business Travel Show Middle East event will be an excellent venue to further reaffirm the status of Oman as an ideal destination for business travellers and a great venue for business meetings, conferences and exhibitions."

"The Business Travel Show Middle East will provide a perfect opportunity for us to identify new trends, explore best practices and initiate peer-to-peer networking activities to promote Oman's unique attractions as a business travel destination. We have prepared extensively for this event, having developed a comprehensive presentation of the exciting and unique range of corporate travel offerings that are on offer in Oman. In this regard, we are confident that we will make a strong impression among the various global business organisations that are attending the show," added Al Mamari.

The exhibitors and participants attending the Business Travel Show Middle East include leading regional and global organisations operating in the aviation and hotel sectors, support services as well as travel buyers and corporate travel management companies. The event offers a unique Online Meeting Service, which allows participants to optimise their participation by prearranging meetings with exhibitors and visitors.

The Ministry of Tourism will leverage the event's popularity and regional significance to showcase the various world-class hospitality offerings in Oman, including the new Swiss-Belhotel Resort Masirah Island, the 5-star Salalah Marriott Resort and the luxurious Six Senses Hideaway Zighy Bay located in the country's northern Musandam Peninsula.

Apart from emerging as one of the preferred regional destinations for hosting high-profile meetings, conferences and exhibitions, Oman has been recognised for its array of popular tourist activities such as different kinds of water sports, rock climbing, sand skiing in the desert, trekking, cave exploration, bull fighting, dolphin shows, fishing charters and camel races. The country also features hundreds of forts and castles, which are among numerous cultural landmarks that give the country its unique character and age-old charm.
