Fourth New Arab Woman Forum to address Leadership and Social Responsibility

The fourth annual session of "The New Arab Woman Forum" on "Leadership and Social Responsibility" which is takes place on 2-3 December 2010 at the Intercontinental Hotel Phoenicia, Beirut, will attract once again a host of Arab and International leaders and distinguished personalities as participants and speakers including ministers, businessmen and businesswomen, writers, actors, journalists, experts and heads of NGOs and others.

NAWF 2010 will continue its close follow-up and analysis of the changing position and role of women in Arab society, politics, and economic life at this year's annual meeting that will be held under the high patronage of the First Lady of Lebanon Mrs. Wafaa Michel Sleiman, and the participation of the Honorary President H.E. Mrs. Bahia Hariri.

More than 40 distinguished speakers will participate in the interactive panels of NAWF 2010 including: MP Rachida Dati, Member of European Parliament, Mohamad Rahhal, Minister of Environment in Lebanon, and Deputy Nariman Al Roussan, Member of House of Representative in Jordan. Other distinguished speakers include: Rania Rostom from G.E., Nadine Chakar from The Bank of New York Mellon, and Salam Yamout from Prime Minister's Office in Lebanon. The panels will also include the participation of renowned media personalities including: Ziad Noujaim, Neshan Der Haroutiounian, Pierre Abi Saab, Fadila Al Souisi, and Raghida Dergham.

This year also marks the participation of several famous artists including the Syrian actors Mona Wassef and Jamal Suleiman, the Egyptian director Khaled Youssef, the Lebanese actress Bernadette Hodeib, the author and anthropologist Malek Chebel, the Egyptian film critic Tarek Al Shennawi, the Lebanese novelist Rashid Al-Daif, the Syrian director Racha Charabatji, and other personalities.

The Forum will discuss many issues of the hour within its panels with a special focus on: women and politics, social media, corporate social responsibility, and social responsibility in cinema, television and performing arts. The program also includes interactive sessions on environmental issues as well as governance in family businesses issues, and social entrepreneurship.

The Forum is organized by Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group and Al Hasnaa Magazine and in cooperation with the League of Arab States and mbc Group.
